PUPPY BITCH ~ Entries: 1 ~ Absent: 0

DONVALESET BLUE CRYSTAL

1st & BP
DONVALESET BLUE CRYSTAL
"Rio"
A six month baby and not at all concerned by the varied conditions. Nice outline and rear angulation. Excellent coat for age. Best Puppy.

JUNIOR BITCH ~ Entries: 2 ~ Absent: 0
Two bitches of totally different type and both with a lot to recommend them. In Glen terms sixteen month olds are only just out of nappies. One will be ready sooner and one a lot, lot later. After a dog entry that had produced quite a bit of internal sighing over lack of drive and reach it was a pleasant surprise to view this class on the move and that was the deciding factor in my placings.

JEONTY HASA CEILIDH WITH KARENSBRAE EMELDIR FRENCH PLEAT

1st
JEONTY HASA CEILIDH WITH KARENSBRAE
"Ceilidh"
This bitch is still very raw and everything says immature until she moves. She has the potential to be the best mover the breed has seen in quite a while.

2nd
EMELDIR FRENCH PLEAT
"Josephine"
This bitch surprised me. She is better in bone, body and shape than she looks from the ringside.

POST GRADUATE BITCH ~ Entries: 3 ~ Absent: 1
This class was a disappointment. Both bitches needed work. Both would improve if time were taken with conditioning and presentation.

OPEN BITCH ~ Entries: 6 ~ Absent: 2
This was the class of the day. It was a headache and a pleasure. My favourite bitch of the past ten years could only come in third here and another of whom I approve was fourth because of the quality of the first and second. My admiration for all four bitches.

BROCKLAND MERRYLEGS FOR BREGORREY BROCKLAND BRENNA ANNE

1st & BOS
BROCKLAND MERRYLEGS FOR BREGORREY
"Breege"

2nd & RBB
BROCKLAND BRENNA ANNE
"Brenna"

These two sisters were the headache. To initially look at quite different but to handle quite similar. As with the "brothers" of the Open Dog class there are swings and roundabouts. One has a far better coat, one has better front extension. One is a better size, one has a better top line. My difficulty was movement. Brenna absolutely fills the eye and the ring whilst Merrylegs occasionally seemed to apologise for actually being there. Her temperament is 110% but she appeared to shrink into her own body which makes it easy to overlook her. Keeping them moving and Merrylegs forgot her handler, ceased to "shrink" and had, on slightly better type and condition, to be called into the number one spot.

JEONTY GOLD LEADER AT BROCKLAND ROMAINVILLE BLUE VELVET

3rd
JEONTY GOLD LEADER AT BROCKLAND
"Dixie"
This bitch has had Best of Breed at Crufts and Best Bitch at National Terrier under me previously. Her two daughters have the edge now but she is in no way disgraced.
